Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) has an apple orchard that contains several types of apples such as Rom Beauty, Anna, and Manalagi. This garden, which is located in Sumbergondo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City, is a place that can facilitate students and lecturers in the Agrotechnology study program to conduct research. This apple conservation garden aims to increase the production and quality of fruit from apple orchards in production centers and encourage the development of apple orchards in new areas (land). Some of the research that has been and is currently being carried out includes developing management strategies for handling pests and diseases in tropical apples up to the post-harvest field which aims to obtain post-harvest technology for apples so that they have prime quality, remain fresh, and become high-value industrial processed fruit.
