Community service by students (PMM) is a student assistance and service activity for community development and empowerment in implementing applications, design, technology, or social change in a better direction.
PMM is carried out by UMM students individually or in groups to provide benefits to society.
PMM has the status of a curricular activity that weighs 4 credits and is mandatory for every student. PMM can be taken by students based on a structured study plan (without study period limitations).
Students can independently choose the location/target of PMM activities or the location and scheme offered by DPPM. PMM activities can be carried out in villages, institutions, business units, or certain community groups. PMM activities can be carried out within a period of 30 days to 90 days. To take part in KMM activities, students are required to be actively registered (with no minimum semester limit) as UMM students, register as PMM participants with DPPM, and pay PMM fees according to the provisions applicable at UMM.
PMM receives guidance from Field Supervisors (DPL) appointed by DPPM. The supervisor is tasked with guiding the implementation of PMM (both online/offline). Guidance can be carried out at any time according to the agreement between the student and the supervisor. System, and technical guidance following DPPM provisions.
The PMM implementation schedule will be regulated technically by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM).
PMM is implemented with specified outputs, namely: publications in print/electronic media, and video tutorials related to the program being implemented.
